Reel Justice: My Story, My World

Beginning with media literacy basics we will view and discuss the impact of inequal and inaccurate representation in media, tune into work by folks of color, queer folks, and women focusing on the relationships between personal storytelling, art, identity, and power. Participants in this workshop will explore their own racial and cultural identities in relation to art making, and analyze media through a social justice lens and then work in teams to create videos representing the Reel Truth of their lives in these modern and media-making times.
