Rainier Roller Girls’ Opening Bout!
$10 adv / $15 door All Ages @ Southgate Rink 5:45pm – 8pm
The Rainier Roller Girls’ 2017 home season will be supporting Reel Grrls! 5% of proceeds from their ticket sales will be donated to summer scholarships. Come check them out at their first home game of the season THIS SATURDAY – 5:45pm, doors at 5pm. We will be there tabling! Mark your calendar for their other bouts: Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 12, and June 10.

The Boy Who Lived Before
FREE – All Ages @ Youngstown Theater 10:30am – 1pm
Director and cast members in attendance! This Seattle-made feature explores the mind of a boy who deeply contemplates his identity, both in terms of who the kind of person he wants to be, and the kind of person he might have already been. The screening will take place at Youngstown – 4408 Delridge Way SW. This event is free and open to the public –

The Mt. Baker Art Lofts collective host FIERCE FEMME 2017: “We will not be quiet, we will create and we will be heard and seen.” This community event will feature galleria, vendors, live performance and open studios with resident artists and guests.
In preparation for the Womxn’s March on Jan 21st, Reel Grrls will be presenting Get Reel Active a workshop on how to interview, document events live, capture video / audio, and edit on a mobile device. Bring your own device or borrow ours. Join us if you are interested in documenting stories at Womxn’s March!

Reel Grrls’ Open House Lunar New Year
Free – All Ages @ Youngstown 11am – 1pm
Reel Grrls is excited to invite you to our 2nd Annual Open House that coincides with the Lunar New Year. This is your opportunity to meet the Reel Grrls team and learn how you can be involved. We will have a dim sum and refreshments.
Volunteers are at the core of Reel Grrls programming that fuel and support our success. Volunteers are not compensated except in some reel love and appreciation. Hours vary.

Wynne Greenwood & Friends
$8 – 21+ @ Sunset Tavern 7:30pm – 11pm
Long time friend of GRRLS and talented multi media artist musician Wynne Greenwood will be hosting a feminist, punk queer, video art, multi-faceted, pro-libraries evening with 100% proceeds going to make sure our Grrls have scholarships to attend programs. The evening will also include Paris When it Sizzles, and Almost Friends on Mon, Jan 30, 2017 8:00 PM (7:30 PM Doors) at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern. The show is 21 years and over.
