King County Library System’s Valley View Branch presents GRRL POWER!

The Valley View Library is bringing you Grrl Power, a set of 4 FREE workshops for aspiring teen filmmakers!  We are thrilled to help present a workshop. Watch and discuss movies about powerful women in film, discuss media through a feminist lens, and make your own movie about something that matters to you!

On Friday, October 6 from 2:00-3:30pm, make an LED cuff that lights up!

On Friday, October 13 from 1:30-4:00pm, celebrate Teen Read Week and unleash your story with a screening of Wonder Woman! Snacks will be provided! (Wonder Woman is rated PG-13)

On Thursday, October 19 from 3:00-6:00pm, stand up for your future and learn how to tell your story about an issue that interests you! Then create a video about making a difference that voices your opinion! (This event is for ages 12 & older) Please register for this workshop HERE

On Thursday, October 26 from 3:00-5:00pm, watch the documentary Miss Representation and talk about the representation of women in film.
