Come out to Seattle Parks this Summer and Get Reel Active with Reel Grrls!

Reel Grrls is excited to announce our partnership with Seattle Parks & Rec and United Way’s Summer Food Invasion Program to bring FREE, fun and exciting programming to youth ages 10-18 throughout Seattle. Kicking off July 10th and running through August 25th, Reel Grrls will be offering drop-in digital storytelling activities in three Seattle parks (see locations below) exposing young people to mobile media production. Throughout the summer participants will have the opportunity to learn the hard and soft technical skills for media production as well as immerse themselves in media literacy, creative storytelling, and shared community values. ...

Womxn’s Media Crew Appreciation Event

On January 21st we witnessed history in the making. A day that will long be remembered and looked back upon by future generations. It’s because of Reel Active volunteers, like the Womxn’s Media Crew, that future generations will hear the stories of the Marchers, see the power of compassion, and understand the strength in unity. Volunteers gave those who couldn’t attend a place in the crowd and amplified the voices that were there. As a special thank you, Reel Grrls is hosting a Womxn’s Media Crew Appreciation Open House.
