Today is THE day to participate in an exciting day of online philanthropy hosted by the Seattle Foundation. Take the GiveBIG challenge and make a contribution to Reel Grrls and your gift will be stretched even further!

 Here's how you can participate in GiveBIG:

• Make a fully-tax deductible gift to Reel Grrls on May 15 through the Seattle Foundation’s website.  A percentage of every dollar donated will be matched by the Seattle Foundation and GiveBIG sponsors—increasing your impact on creating more opportunities to put girls and women into leadership positions in media and technology.

•  Join our event on Facebook and tell your friends and family that you are supporting Reel Grrls during GiveBIG!

•  Consider donating $500, $100, $50 or even $25 to Reel Grrls—every single dollar counts!

Over 70% of participants at Reel Grrls receive scholarship support. Your contribution makes it possible to offer programs on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Girls from as far away as Skykomish and Mount Vernon participated in Reel Grrls programs this year, your contribution makes it possible for continued access to media tools and training to girls from rural communities.

Women comprised just 9 percent of the directors of the top 250 domestic grossing films of 2012. ReelGrrls inspires girls to step into leadership roles in the media.

Our future leaders are young women who can look with a critical eye at media and can tell their own stories using the tools of media and technology. Reel Grrls teaches media literacy and digital storytelling in its award-winning programs.
