Current Community Partners:
In 2015 we worked with the Girl Scouts, and Seattle Parks’ Community Learning Center based at Aki Kurose Middle School, Southwest Youth & Family Services, SOAR’s Roadmaps Project, Seattle Public Libraries, King County Library System, Sno-Isle Library System, the University of Washington, The City of Redmond, and the Snohomish YMCA. 2016 promises to be a powerful year strengthening our current partnerships as well as building sisterhood and solidarity with awesome girl-serving organizations such as You Grow Girl, Powerful Voices, Young Women Empowered, The Gates Foundation, The Service Board, YouthSpeaks, and more.
Schools and organizations partnering with Reel Grrls to deliver these classes generally pay $200 per hour for after-school classes. We fundraise tirelessly to subsidize our costs and offer additional scholarships to partners with a demonstrated need, working with partners to secure funding and ensure our programs are accessible to all grrls and gender nonconforming youth.
We are currently reaching out to our neighbors at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and multiple other youth serving non-profits and institutions throughout the greater Seattle area and beyond.
