Calling all shot callers! Learn the ropes of filmmaking and video production through this hands-on day-camp where you will build skills and focus through creative storytelling and one-on-one mentoring sessions with professional filmmakers and teaching artists.

What you will learn:

  • Media Literacy — learn about what makes high quality and engaging media
  • Media Justice — how to use media as a tool for social change and empowerment
  • Digital Storytelling — how to amplify your voice and effectively tell stories
  • Pre-Production and Storyboarding
  • Editing and Post Production

Who can apply: Female, transgender, and gender non-conforming youth.
Prerequisites: No previous video production or animation experience required!

360 Filmmaking Spring Day Camp

Learn about the new and exciting world of 360 filmmaking in our weeklong day-camp. This growing industry needs fresh and creative ideas from innovative thinkers just like you! In this camp, you’ll learn the basics of 360 filmmaking from pioneering content makers SIXR at the UW Comotion Lab Maker Space. This camp is made possible by longtime producer, filmmaker, and innovator Kim Voynar of WonderTek Labs, NW Film Forum, and funding from 4Culture.
